Professor of radiation oncology
As a physician-scientist, I develop responsible artificial intelligence to improve care for people with cancer.
Biography
I am a cancer physician and professor of radiation oncology at Université Paris Cité, practising at the Georges Pompidou European Hospital (AP-HP, Paris).
As an INSERM researcher, I specialise in bringing artificial intelligence into medicine to improve care for people with cancer. I work within the public hospital system, supporting each patient with attentiveness, rigour and transparency — convinced that a more precise, better-equipped medicine is, above all, a profoundly human one.
I hold a PhD in biomedical informatics (2018), and my translational research develops predictive models that estimate the likelihood of cure and the risk of recurrence, so that treatment can be tailored to each patient.
During my residency, I contributed to the first French studies on stereotactic radiotherapy for lung and liver cancers. In 2011, I joined Institut Gustave-Roussy, where I completed a master's in radiobiology before defending my medical thesis in 2014, and then became a clinical fellow at the Georges Pompidou European Hospital.
My doctoral work in bioinformatics, carried out at the Cordeliers Research Centre, was recognised by the French National Academy of Medicine in 2019. That same year, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University's laboratory for artificial intelligence in medicine. I obtained my Habilitation (HDR) in 2020 and was appointed full professor in 2021.
The author of more than a hundred scientific papers, I continue to publish and to mentor master's and doctoral students. I rank among the top 2% most-cited scientists worldwide and help shape international guidelines on the use of AI in medicine. In 2025, I was named a Next Gen Leader (Le Figaro) and joined the French National Consultative Ethics Committee (CCNE). In 2026, I was featured in TIME France's list of twenty figures shaping healthcare and was made a Knight of the Ordre national du Mérite.

Books
I write to make research accessible and to fuel the debate on the medicine of tomorrow.
My first novel, out in autumn 2026 in the “Lendemains” series.
A scientific investigation that reads like a thriller: the story of cancer and the therapeutic revolutions under way, where the road to a cure becomes a narrative.
A journey into the heart of artificial intelligence and medicine: from screening to treatment, how these technologies are reshaping care — and the ethical questions they raise.
Media
A selection of media appearances on artificial intelligence and medicine.
